Aeropress: how to brew it
Aeropress
Medium-fine grind
Written for a washed, medium-roast arabica. Open this from one of our coffees and the numbers change to suit it.
- Coffee
- 15 g
- Water
- 240 ml about 1 cup
- Water temperature
- 85 °C — boiled, then left a good two minutes
- Brew time
- 2:30
- First pour
- 40 ml, then wait 30 seconds
That is a ratio of 1:16, if you would rather scale it.
- Rinse the paper filter and add the coffee.
- Add the first water, stir once, and wait.
- Top up to 240 ml and put the plunger on to seal it.
- Press slowly for about thirty seconds.
- It is ground for this brewer already. If it runs through too fast, use a little more coffee rather than reaching for a finer grind.
Ground medium-fine for this brewer before it was bagged.
